Last week, several members of our team joined other colleagues from across the group to tree plant on 12 acres of land near Belowda in Cornwall. The 12-acre plot has been planted with Oak, Hazel, Birch, Douglas Firs and Hawthorn and is the first plot being planted for the Goonvean Group in partnership with the Tregothnan Estate across Cornwall.
The Goonvean Group has ambitious tree planting plans with more acres to come in the next planting season. This activity forms an important part of our sustainability plans to continue to reduce and mitigate our companies’ emissions where possible whilst we align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals of Climate Action (SDG-13) our CO2 contribution and Life on Land (SDG-15) to promote biodiversity and habitats for wildlife.
