RH Fibreboard Containers have joined Taste of the West, the largest regional independent food group in the UK, to promote environmental accountability and the use of sustainable recyclable packaging.

John Sheaves, CEO of Taste of the West stated: ‘When RH approached earlier in the year offering to help us and our members, it was clear that their products, services and knowledge really fit part of the vision of Taste of the West and its members to help clean up the planet and promote sustainable and environmentally friendly packaging across the food group.  Cardboard plays a big part in this, and we are working closely with all of our members and affiliate members to look at packaging, energy and other areas that we can show significant results.”

Steve Gabell, Sales Director of RH Fibreboard, said: “There are some exciting developments and plans in place that we are working on with John, and will hopefully involve a number of members of Taste of the West, many of whom are already making substantial moves to protect our environment.  Being Westcountry based, we are hugely concerned with the impact on our magnificent local environment as well as internationally.  We hope to share our ideas and experience with all members of Taste of the West, on what sustainability and ethical sourcing looks like and the benefits of using corrugated boxes and packaging.”
